INT. KAYLA JANSSON'S SUV - CONTINUOUS
PAUL JANSSON
Oh shit!
Paul grabs the steering wheel and narrowly avoids colliding with a parked car on the side of the road before putting the vehicle in park.
The SUV screeches to a halt in the center of the road with smoke pouring from the tires as everyone inside is hurled forward.
Paul quickly puts his hands over Gregg's wound trying to stop the bleeding.
KAYLA JANSSON
What the hell just happened?
PAUL JANSSON
Gregg's been shot.
BECKY HENDERSON
Oh my god!
Kayla picks up Josh and sets him down in the seat next to Becky before crawling between the front two seats so that she can investigate Gregg's wound.
PAUL JANSSON
It went straight through, but we're
gonna need to stop the bleeding.
Kayla pushes Paul's hand out of the way to examine Gregg's wound.
KAYLA JANSSON
Yeah, I think you're right.
PAUL JANSSON
(slightly annoyed)
Thanks.
KAYLA JANSSON
I didn't mean-
PAUL JANSSON
I know what you meant, or didn't
mean. Can you stop the bleeding?
KAYLA JANSSON
Yeah, just keep pressure on it
while I rig up a bandage.
PAUL JANSSON
FUCK! We gotta get him out of here!
KAYLA JANSSON
What? He's gunshot and dieing, we
can't move him, he could-
Paul grabs Kayla by the chin and turns her head around so that she can see the two would be car jackers along side three more young men as they round the corner headed towards the SUV.
KAYLA JANSSON
Oh my god! What do we do?
PAUL JANSSON
Stop the bleeding.
Paul picks the car jacker's gun up off the floor and checks the ammo in both pistols before opening his door.
PAUL JANSSON (cont'd)
I'll be right back.
COMMENTARY: I know this piece was a bit short compared to most but the next one will be quite a bit longer and should be up by tomorrow, Monday at the latest. My plan right now is to have the whole chapter finished and posted by Friday so that I can getthe second Interlude up over the weekend.
