EXT. PARTY HOUSE BACKYARD - CONTINUOUS
Kimberly bolts awake scaring the shit out of Jared.
KIMBERLY RAYNOR
Your hands are fucking freezing.
JARED PARKER
Jesus Christ, I thought you were
dead!
KIMBERLY RAYNOR
Did I pass out?
Jared sits back down against the house and cracks open a
beer.
JARED PARKER
Yeah.
KIMBERLY RAYNOR
For how long?
JARED PARKER
Just a couple minutes. You were out
when I got back with the beer.
He holds a bottle out to her.
KIMBERLY RAYNOR
No thanks, I think I'm done for the
night.
JARED PARKER
Good idea.
KIMBERLY RAYNOR
Actually, would you mind taking me
home?
JARED PARKER
No problem.
Jared chugs his beer.
INT. JARED'S CAR - NIGHT
The car is still parked outside the "party house" as Kimberly
sits in the passengers seat vomiting out the door onto the
street.
Jared is leaning over the center console trying to hold her
hair back.
After a few minutes she sits up and pulls her legs into the
car.
JARED PARKER
You okay?
KIMBERLY RAYNOR
Yeah, I'm fine now.
JARED PARKER
You sure? Cause we can wait as long
as you need.
KIMBERLY RAYNOR
No, no I'm good. I just wanna get
home.
JARED PARKER
Alright, where do you live?
KIMBERLY RAYNOR
On Cormorant street, near the high
school.
INT. JARED'S CAR (MOVING) - 10 MINUTES LATER
Kimberly is passed out against the window as Jared taps the
steering wheel to the beat of the music. His phone starts
ringing, he answers it.
JARED PARKER
Hello?
DANNY BATES (O.S.)
Dude, where the fuck are you?
JARED PARKER
I'm dropping of this chick I met at
the party. I'll be back in a few
minutes.
DANNY BATES (O.S.)
Dude, it's zombies!
JARED PARKER
What?
DANNY BATES (O.S.)
The thing on the news, all the
attacks. It's fuckin' zombies, man.
JARED PARKER
(sarcasm)
Yeah, okay Danny.
DANNY BATES
Dude, I'm serious, you gotta get
back here now.
JARED PARKER
Alright, I don't know if you're
trying to fuck with me or you've
just smoked way too much, but I'll
be back in like- Hold on a second.
Kimberly starts to "wake up" and is moaning slightly.
JARED PARKER (cont'd)
You okay? You're not gonna throw up
again are you?
Kimberly lunges at Jared with her mouth wide open and he's
just barely able to block it.
JARED PARKER (cont'd)
Holy shit, what the fuck are you-
The car swerves to the right and collides head on with a
tree. The engine dies on impact and smoke is pouring out from
under the hood.
